Matthew had determined that he wanted to go swimming. I am not sure why Mathew wanted to go swimming, but fortunately there is a nice pool nearby so off we went. The pool we went to was pretty good it had an indoor pool with diving board and slide. After paying and changing Matthew, Chris and Sophie headed straight for the slide. The slide was outdoors and it was about 15 degrees and windy. Sophie was like a bull at the gate she ran up to the slide and went down, ran up the hill and did it again and again. I had to pry her away after about 7 rides because she was turning to a portable ice cube. After that we went inside, into the warm and played in the whirlpool and Chris and Matthew had a go at the diving board. After about an hour we all got out and had a feed at the canteen. Having recharged on nuggets, fries and pastries we headed back into the pool for a quick play until Sheridan came to pick us up.
Sheridan had Pia and Paige in the car with her and we then drove to a local farm where the kids played. The farm, about 5 mins away from Sheridan’s house had a playground and places where you could pat the calves and say hi to some rabbits. The farm also had a store, with an honesty box which sole quite a range of goods including apple juice, lovely gingerbread, farm fresh milk, jams, oils and other things we could not translate.
After the farm we cane back to Sheridan and Paul’s place and the kids had dinner while Di and Chris walked into the old part of Zug for an authentic Swiss dinner. Chris had veal strips in a sauce with potato rosti followed by milktert ( tasted like bread and butter pudding). Di had a sausage with potato rosti and roast vegetables followed by Zuger Kirschtorte. After dinner Chris and Di looked around the old parts of Zug and then walked home.
Sooooooooooooooooo envious brings back some good memories. Love Matthew’s beret and Sophie in the hall of mirrors. Looks like you are all having a ball.
