DESCRIPTION: This is us at the start. You can see how we balanced teh storage drums to keep the weight even. This system worked well. For the first hour or two we were still honing our paddling skills and there was a certain amount of back padddling and a few close calls with trees untill we worked out how to manouver effectively. John is 20kg lighter than I am so he got the front seat for the entire trip.
