DESCRIPTION:
Numerous people have died attempting to climb Mt Wilhelm including an Australian Army Sergeant, Christopher Donnan, who died in December 1971 when he fell down a steep slope. There is a plaque at the point where he was last seen.
This plaque is within 1 hours walk to the top. Not the type of thing you like to see when you have yet to get to the summit. (For his sake I hope he died on teh way down.)
