For Day 1 we were joined by Paloma. This day exceeded my expectations in terms of its beauty. The landscape was quite varied with three distinct sections. Following the river, then some mixed bush and farmland and then the final section was through farmland with some really good views of the surrounding area.
You can see the flat start to the walk as we walked downstream along the Goobarragandra river. After the low point we turned south into the farm country. The first steep climb is from Walls creek to the top of an unamed hill. We then descended back into Walls Creek higher up the creek and then traversed undulating, but sloping downwards, farm country for the rest of the walk. The last top was quite close to the road and provided excellent 360 degree views of the farm country and adjacent forests.
