Ben Smith Campsite to Talbingo

Today was an easy one. According to the map it was a flatish 10km wander from Ben Smith Campsite to Talbingo. The only constraint was that Paul needed to catch a train in Wagga at 2pm, so we needed to be in Talbingo before midday, at the latest.

Day 4 - Hill Profile
There was less than 50m from the lowest and highest point on this walk, so in bushwalking terms, it was pretty flat. The low point here is the dam at Jounama Pondage.
This is the track between Ben Smith Campsite and the fire trail. The good news is that the trail existed, the bad news was it was a bit of a blackberry obstacle course.
Our view across to Talbingo. Ben Smith Campsite it's only a couple of kms from Talbingo if you are prepared to swim across the dam. The walking path was less direct at 10kms.
It was very still and this is the view across Jounama Pondage to Talbingo.
Jounama has a small Hydro Power Station. Apparently it is a Kaplan turbine which requires little head.
Almost finished.
Talbingo town centre. There was a cafe and sport store and nothing else in the shopping centre. We sat in the cafe and had a coffee and biscuits before heading off to Wagga, so Paul could catch the train to Albury. We aso used the men's toilet to give ourselves a bit of a wash before getting back into civilisation.
